Context: Un negru cu antecedente penale, actor de filme porno, a fost prins și imobilizat de doi polițiști albi, unul punându-și genunchiul pe grumazul lui. Infractorul ulterior a murit în drum spre spital, iar mass media i-a prezentat pe cei doi polițiști ca fiind ucigași.

Autopsia a demonstrat că nu a murit de la asfixiere.

În urma știrilor despre moartea lui, comunitatea de negrii din Mineapolis s-a răzvrătit violent, prăduind magazine, incendiind mașini.

Trec zilele și revoltele se răspândesc în alte state, membri ANTIFA participând activ la distrugeri. Protestele au depășit sfera rasială, mulți albi participând alături de negri la distrugeri fără precedent în istoria Statelor Unite ale Americii.
